Description
I'm assuming that NJ would want a similar package to the Muzzin deal (if they even want to move him) since they both had two years left on their deal. Ritchie and Holl have to be included for cap reasons (which NJ won't be happy about) so the prospects are higher quality.

The other trade doesn't necesarily have to be Braun but they'll probably be looking for a Boghosian type guy for the bottom pair. Turning Dermott into two defencemen also pushes Liljegren further down the depth chart, which at this point seems like a good thing.

In an ideal world they add some forward depth too, which they might still be able to do if they get creative, or by trading for a waiver ineligible player.

Would prefer Roberston over Amirov I think but that's a minor gripe. I'd be happy with that return on Severson.

Holl doesn't need to be sent to make the cap work. Technically Ritchie doesn't either if retention happens. So if you retain you'll get a better deal than Muzzin's which was a 1st and 2 B prospects. It would then be a 1st and guys like Krall and Anderson. Now if you take on Ritchie then I would be willing to add Robertson.

So Ritchie, a 1st and Robertson for Severson. You won't get more.

Also trading Dermott for 2 worse players certainly doesn't help anything.

REally? This seems really steep for Severson.

Amirov, Niemela, and a 1st is a lot of value.

I would imagine one of Robertson/Amirov, a 1st, and some loose change could get it done.

But this makes them a lot better for the next two years and those two aren't close to playing in the NHL.

If Severson makes them a lot better, then giving up to guys that aren't close to contributing is a lot easier to accept.

Oh, boy.

I think @BinooEater1 has something much more realistic here.

What Jersey fans on here see as realistic is a couple of top prospects, a first and a 2nd and if they take back Ritchie add another first. Like Severson is a hotter commodity than Chychrun b
