I don’t think the Giroux trade is that far off but if we’re taking on Rask’s bad contract we probably want a little more but I think it’s pretty close

Yeah hard pass, that's not close, Marat is the most valuable piece in that deal. You can keep Giroux. The retention and the cap dump are courtesies to make the deal work, you don't get to double the value of the trade because of them.

The 50% retention and "bad conract" mean nothing here. You're not getting that 1st and Marat for a rental. I don't care how many points he has.
