Deals look pretty reasonable to me. Maybe take out Kulak, Russell from EDM deal and ask for prospect like Lavoie instead of Bourgault. And take the 3rd out of FLA deal.

Bourgault is the only reason I'd do that trade. Lavoie or a 2nd aren't enough to entice me to move Lehkonen.

Take the 3rd out and add Puutio from Florida maybe?
We could send then a rental forward or return Montembault in addition.

Not retaining on Toffoli. Unnecessary and we may need retention slots within that time frame.

Lavoie have almost no value in my eyes. Lehkonen > Lavoie / Allen > Lavoie

I used the Savard trade as a comparable which was a 1st + 3rd RD pick

NYR need Toffoli half retained to consider this trade. They are really tight with their cap next year

Then NYR isn't a good trading partner.
Assuming we retain to move Price and we use a retention spot next year at the TDL (Drouin perhaps), retaining on Toffoli as well, locks us out from other moves which may be more beneficial.
We can get a good return for Toffoli without retention. This is a marginal benefit for retaining on a contract with term.

And we are getting a good RHD prospect & a 1st RD pick this year … next TDL, we have nobody who will be worth a lot with that 1 retention spot left … we don’t have any dman to trade, the only forward would be Drouin. Don’t need 2 retention slots for next year

Value wise all the trades seem to be in the ball park of acceptable. Personally if I were EDM I wouldn’t do the deal because honestly how much better does it make you short and long term, but Holland has to be feeling some pressure.

EDM fans, losing with McDavid & Draisaitl in their prime and don’t want to do anything to upgrade the team. Let’s just waste their prime, but at least we keep all our prospects. So after they are gone, we will win with Holloway Bourgault & Broberg lol

Edmonton has Draisaitl for 4 more playoff runs and McDavid for 5 more before they're free agents. Trading a prime prospect who could help as soon as next season for a backup and a 3rd liner YEARS before they are eligible to re-sign isn't going to impact their decision 1 iota, unless it's a negative impact. Use your head.
