avs decline, they dont need Kane, and they are not trading girard and multiple 1st for a guy who is going to to be a UFA in 1 year at 34 years old

Kane is an MVP caliber player. With Chicago retaining and getting two playoff runs with him, this is very fair.

Byram's injury risk means the Avs will count on Girard. Swap him out with top prospect Barron.

They could get JT Miller for a fraction of this cost for the next 2 playoff runs. This is way too much to give up imo

maybe a 75% fraction. Kane is just so much better than Milller.

a year and a half of kane vs 5.5 years of girard, plus 2 1sts and kaut. too much. plus at the end of girards contract he's still 4 years younger than kane is right now.

I love Kane, but the Avs already have their first line set. No need for Kane on a line consisting of Landeskog - MacKinnon - Rantanen.

Depends on how you value Girard but you could probably get Miller for the 2 firsts and Kaut (well maybe before VAN's coaching change, not sure if they want to sell anymore)

Id rather have Miller tbh, hes way more versatile. Kane has 0 defensive ability and the Avs already have the highest scoring offense in the league. And even when comparing offense Miller is producing more than Kane this season both at even strength and on the PP anyway

Value is probably there just not sure if Av's Do it. Would need to have a lot of faith in Byram come playoffs...

That should be an easy no for the Avs.
