The second part of that statement is definitely off, but the first part... in regards to Fletcher is on point. Fletcher is well known for overpaying on players he aquires at the TDL. Or do you actually think that Martin Hanzel was actually worth the 1st+ that Fletcher forked over for him in 2017? He did it for Hanzel, and he did it again for Hayes in 2018-19. Rental centers don't typically get that kind of return, and it's more unlikely with the current cap crunch throughout the league.
