Actually when I initially looked at at it, I hated it as a Leaf fan. But in some ways, if all went well, it would help the Leafs this year, though I don't really like the Okposo for Kerfoot exchange.
But Kane is way too much of a wild card. Leafs decline as being 4th overall in the league is not to messed with, unless there is definite improvement in the club.

Miller is not a good defenseman. Holl has a better track record.

Yeah, lets trade a top prospect, a good top six winger, and a very solid goaltender for a 2nd pair defender and a guy whos been rancid the last few years outside of this year. Buffalo gets a better return on Okposo and Miller than they did for Eichel.

Also, the Leafs arent trading for E. Kane, and if you want them to, you have no understanding of lockerroom chemistry. Here's a quick summary of E. Kane's many, many flaws:
- Pointed a loaded gun at wife
- Massive gambling issue that he refuses to resolve
- Massive ego
- Liked by none of his teammates
- Liar, full of excuses
- Faked proof of vaccination

Sure he is a decent hockey player, but that means nothing when you're a scumbag.
