I think that's a super reasonable offer but I do agree that Chych will cost one of Lundell or Knight

I think he’s overvalued by everyone. But like I’ve said before, there are two options here. Either last season was an anomaly for Chychrun, in which case no one will pay THAT for him, or he’s really that good, which begs the question: Why would the coyotes trade their number one defenseman and future captain?

the yotes would move him because they’re in the middle of the “tear it down” phase of a rebuild. the odds of the yotes being competitive by the time chychrun’s contract is up are slim. better to move him now for a huge package to get prospects and picks that might fit the current timeline as opposed to trading him three years down the line for less, since he won't have any term on his deal, for players that might not be useful until six or seven years down the line. or worse, have him leave in UFA for nothing.

I think they'll consider moving him because by the time his deal is up (four seasons) they'll be just exiting the rebuild. So why lose him for nothing as a UFA when you can move him now with term on a good deal and get insane assets to help rebuild.

Wouldn’t exactly call Radko Gudas and two late-round 1sts insane but I see your point.

yeah, which is why I made my initial comment saying I think it'll take Lundell/Knight to get the ball rolling - that makes it a little more insane
