6. Nick Paul is not signing that.

7. Sanford is not signing that.

8. Giroux will sign his extension with the Flyers.

I have see a few posts of Giroux coming home but seems more likely to stay in Philly or sign with a contender. Either way would have him at C.

It would be harder to do, but I still see Fiala as a better option than Giroux for that last top 6 piece.

Agree with most of this - except I don't think Fiala or Giroux sign. There isn't enough moment or potential yet to draw in a big or even moderate signing. Sens are a small market with the highest tax rates - so the almost need to overpay for the equivalent take home for most US teams.

For Giroux to "come home" (he is home I think with like 15 seasons in Philly), it would need to be as a final piece - moving from nearly there to overtaking someone like Tampa.

Giroux maybe a year or two later - but that might be too late
