As a Sabres fan I generally support the Holtby trade. Any chance you need a player off the roster as opposed to picks? Maybe a pending UFA? Hinostroza, Eakin? Not sure if Dallas’ needs.

Holtby UFA at the end of the season, I don't see Adams making such a deal. Bishop or Khudobin would have looked more logical then, although I'm not sure Adams is going to solve goalies problems at all this season.

Not for Dallas. Kane is a locker room cancer and no team worth their salt want him despite his skill. SJ will buy him out or terminate his contract should they want to get rid of him.

Look at the hurricanes and how the Deangelo signing paid off. Dallas can't score right now and Kane surely has respect for Pavs. I think if anyone were to trade for him it'd be them

Canes didn't pay anything to bring Deangelo in - they had nothing to lose. Stars lose here one of their best goal scorers and some picks. These are not comparable at all.

If Stars signed Kane for $1M as an UFA I wouldn't be opposed to this, but I wouldn't pay jack sh*t to trade for the guy.
