Description
1. Miller Trade takes place in 21-22 season.
2. Trade Fiala for futures at the draft/in the off-season.
3. QO Greenway or let him go to arbitration.
4. Re-sign Sturm to a Hartman-like deal.

I know VAN fans will poo-poo the Miller trade. For simplicity sake, I just made it the same value you paid for him.

According to LeBrun, they tried to be the middle man in the Eichel trade a few weeks ago.

You would have to give more for Miller. I know that’s what the Canucks gave for him but his value has gone up since he has been here

Im quite certain it was reported that Vegas looked for a middle man and everyone (namely Arizona) refused.

By taking bad contracts back - or via retaining salary?

As I reported recently, the Coyotes tried hard to get in on the Jack Eichel deal as a third-party broker willing to rent out cap space, but in the end, Vegas and Buffalo were able to strike a deal without Arizona needing to be involved.
In any case, the Coyotes will hope to use that cap space again ahead of the trade deadline and the draft.
“We’ve obviously tried to be very creative in trying to generate picks and we’re going to continue to do that all the way through,’’ Armstrong said. “That’s something we haven’t been shy about, trying to acquire picks and cap space because the flat cap has been at a premium. So, we’ve always tried to use that to our advantage and will continue to do so.’’

From his interview with Armstrong last week

On Fiala...I had the following for Fiala the other day:
    Kuokkanen, Okhotiuk, 2nd

    More young-player-oriented than futures-oriented.

And here were my Fiala trade comps from last summer.
Kind of a mixed bag there.
I think Buchnevich and Reinhart probably set market for him.
