fair enough i don't truely know a whole lot off marat just kinda passing value off his stats and what ive seen him being traded for in other ACGM's i assumed he was a 3c/ fringe 2c caliber player so i thought that was fair value for henrique as that is what he is

lindholm and fowler are the only other ones better then him in terms of all around ability and that's saying a lot as lindholm would most likely be the 1st/2nd dman on toronto. fowler is better offensively then manson but still slightly less at defence manson also is big physical presence. also if you are saying shattenkirk is better then manson you obviously only look at stats as shattenkirk hasn't been good at defence since his st louis blues days he is a strictly offensive dman and when it comes to building defence you would obviously take the better defensive guy then offensive guy as they are called "defence"men

A 40p/yr, two-way. middle-6 center with a $3.5m x 2+ contract is worth a pair of 2nds. Marat K is not a great prospect, he's a good prospect. 3C or maybe a 2 LW is the about the best he'll be in the NHL, if he even comes over from the KHL.

The only way MN will get a center is to trade for one. They aren't going to sign on as a UFA. The center prospect (McBain) that is closest to NHL ready might not even sign in MN. Marat K is playing wing in the KHL. Khovanov was shipped off to the ECHL (at least he reported there). Dewar looks lost in the NHL so far. That just leaves all the eggs in the Rossi basket; and wouldn't take that chance.

I'd rather spend some futures to try and compete now with Kaprizov, rather than wait and see MN waste his prime years kicking the can down the road.

thank you lol, i knew i wasn't super far off on the trade so maybe just marat and a 2nd but all i see is that henrique is better then any other option they have for 2c. if they were target a 1c better then JEE it would require them moving one of boldy or rossi which i don't see them doing
