Wrong team. I'm not opposed to taking on cap dumps, but there isn't any room for Quick when they have Saros and Ingram next season.

NSH declines. The 2nd isn't near enough compensation for taking on Quick's contract, and the Preds don't have room for another backup goalie.

maybe they buy him out i didn't know if they would have the cap to do that with them rebuilding. maybe they do it if u added a 3rd as well and don't forget that la retains 1 mil

LA is not paying to dump Quick. They have $9M in cap space next season, even with Petersen and Quick both on the books. Quick will stick around until his contract expires.

Sorry, but adding a 3rd doesn't move the needle for me.

The Kings aren't going to dump Quick anywhere. To them, he is much more valuable as a mentor and capable backup to Peterson. I also don't see the Kings giving that type of contract to 29 year old Klingberg with Clarke, Grans, Faber, and Spence all in the pipeline. They'll continue to develop the RD with prospects. I could see them going after a high-profile LD though.

Couple of roster notes:
- Byfield will be a regular.
- Mikey Anderson will be re-signed.
- Kale Clague is an NHL/AHL tweener, and I will continue to think so until proven wrong.
- Athanasiou likely won't be re-signed, and Turcotte will be brought onto the roster.
- Kupari, if he's played on the wing, will play the right side and Turcotte will play the left.

Why do people keep thinking we're anxious to get rid of Jonathan Quick? Even discounting the significant intangibles cited by my friend and colleague @PuckLuck_77, despite his three losses JQ has a 2.64 GAA and a .908 save percentage -- quite acceptable figures at this stage of the season. Now, I'm not saying that he's better or more valuable than some starters who have gotten out of the gate slowly, like Darcy Kuemper (3.22 GAA, .900 save %) or Robin Lehner (2.87 GAA, .913 save %) or even Andrei Vassilevskiy (2.78 GAA, .904 save %), because those guys will rapidly improve once they and their teams start rolling the way that they should, but I am saying that we have absolutely no incentive to discard JQ whatsoever.
