What on earth is that Montreal trade?

If Greiss has a good year I can see a first coming back. What do you think?

Nowhere close. Maybe a 3rd.
1. The value is way off.
2. Montreal kinda has goaltending.
3. Montreal probably aren’t buyers. Don’t see much of a chance for them to make the playoffs

Idk man. Kuemper got a 1st and a 3rd, and Greiss looked fantastic last night. A first from a contender that sees their goaltender go down for a good amount of time sounds plausible to me.

Kuemper is good. Colorado is good. Colorado needed a goalie.
Greiss isn’t good. Montreal isn’t good. Montreal doesn’t need a goalie

He had a good second half last year and he looked great last night. Not for sure that he gets traded, but if he is, it'll be for more than a 3rd

And idk why people get so hung up on the destination team when talking about deadline trades. A lot can and will change over the next 5 months. It's impossible to know which teams will need what by then.

I personally like how Namestnikov can play both center and both wing positions. He can also fit in and play well on all four lines. As well as being a good two way forward. I think it would be a great pickup for the Rangers to at the trade deadline.

But looking at his trade history, Namestnikov was recently traded two separate times in exchange for a 4th round pick. So I would have to assume that his trade value would be a 4th.
