I don't think you're going to get Draisaitl for that low on an 8 year deal. He's already twice the player Lucic is and rising. Maybe for 2-3 years though

But is he like Maroon? I know Drai is one of the best players on the team, but if you look at his points the majority have come with McDavid or on the PP, he didnt get nearly as many when he was playing off of Connors line

It's an identical contract to Barkov, who had an even better season, not playing with a player of McDavids caliber. I don't think this contract is a stretch at all.

Well, the reason I like Drai so much is because he does EVERYTHING that doesn't require points. If there was ever a curse of McDavid...it may be this...and faceoffs... Everyone is going to get more points with him on their line. I get that points are important, but there are a lot of things that are important.



He shouldn't be put on a line with McDavid he should have Hall to the left of him, but we can't go back in time.
