Or neighbors and a first but even then we don’t have the cap as you massively overplayed here idc if Brady thinks he’s worth more then 8x8 he’s worth probably a 5.5 mil max
So a million times no this makes the team 10x worse now and in the future

This is very underwhelming.

This is an old Tarasenko, a first, and three meaningless pieces.

Neither prospect cracks Ottawa's top 10, and neither are likely to beat out who Ottawa already have in the system.

This offer is alright but it won’t beat most of the offers around the leageu

I want Brady to sign long-term in Ottawa.

He's our Captain and the "heart and soul" of our team.



I would be rather biased if I said that another team should "move heaven and earth" to get Brady.

So, I struggled a bit to find some good comparables for trading Brady.

But I believe I found three trades that I think could be used as a rough guide if we need to trade him and they all involve the St. Louis Blues.



1. The Keith Tkachuk trade between the Blues and the Coyotes

2. The Keith Tkachuk trade between the Blues and the Thrashers

3. The Brayden Schenn trade between the Blues and the Flyers.



What they all have in common is that one team is paying a decent roster forward or two + the equivalent of 2 first round picks for a player like Brady.

You can argue over whether that's getting scammed or an over/under pay, but the Blues are not doing that.

Neighbours was picked two spots ahead of Greig, and is a pass pass pass first winger that has been passed by Greig since they were drafted, and since Greig will have to battle with Jarventie and Sokolov for a spot behind Stützle and Formenton, he doesn’t move the needle for Ottawa, and there’s no room on the right side either with Batherson, White, and Boucher since the centre spots will be filled by Norris, Pinto, and Ostapchuk.

There’s nothing in this for Ottawa except a pick much worse than the one they chose Tkachuk with. This is quantity of old and broken or irrelevant pieces.

Definitely an overpay. Brady is good, but he's a bit overrated. I'm not sure I'd even make a trade for him, not sure what it would take and am sure whatever it is is probably too much.
