Rangers decline, pretty instantly

the rangers’ cap issues are going to be bad enough with the zib and fox extensions coming up next year. i don’t think they have the money to make kaprizov work.

Since everyone likes to compare players, let's compare Kaprizov to Panarin. Panarin was traded from Chicago to Columbus for cap issues. Minnesota is gonna be in absolute cap hell, which I think is slowing down the signing of Kaprizov.

Back to Panarin. When he was traded to Columbus is was for a pretty low return. And Panarin was and is better than Kaprizov. So, my offer for Kaprizov would be
Chytil and a conditional 1st.

Love it for the Wild, but I think the price is to steep for Rangers.

I’ve read recently that Kakko is probably more of a middle 6 forward instead of a sure-fire top 6…do you know if this is accurate? If it is, I don’t see this as too steep of a price for Kaprizov.

(Brody Lamb is included because he is a future Gopher…can easily be removed)

Where??? Kakko has put up amazing defensive numbers and has been held back by terrible coaching from Quinn, This year should be his breakout year with a larger role and a new coach

The analytics people I follow seem to think he is on to bigger things very soon. He is a gamble either way but if I'm the Rangers I'm not risking it and if I'm the Wild I definitely take the risk.

This seems like a Chia quality trade that NYR regrets very quickly.
