LA declines the Tkachuk trade.

Both teams decline, no one wants Quick, for two seasons. You trashed that offer including him.

With Quick as part of the deal that's a VERY easy NO from OTT.
And if you removed Quick it would still be a no... there'd just be less laughter when they said it.

Now the questions would be : do they want Turcotte and Kupari? Would they have a plan for them? Would they want different prospects from LA?

Turcotte has taken a huge step back since being drafted. Kupari is a similar level prospect. Pinto is better than them both. Ottawa says no, LA would be foolish not to take that deal.

I don't agree with this at all. He had several injuries that derailed his development a bit, but he was arguably the best player in Ontario last season for the final 26 games of the season. He also had a fantastic development camp.

You can say that you're not a Turcotte fan, but he's still every bit the prospect he was when he was drafted.

I'm not saying he sucks lol he's a good player but he was projected to be much better especially for a 5th overall pick. Zegras, Cozens, Boldy, Newhook, Caufield, Pinto have all overtaken him as prospects. The point still stands that LA would be dumb not to trade him for Tkachuk if they had the chance.

If it were Turcotte for Tkachuk straight up, sure, but this trade includes another first and Kupari. The difference between Turcotte and Tkachuk is not worth it, especially with Turcotte looking fantastic so far this preseason.
