I wouldn’t want the Pens to do that. Zucker should rebound and be fully healthy this season. And he’s a legit top 6 when completely healthy.
He’s had 15 goals and 30 points in 43 games with the Pens so far. And hasn’t been completely healthy or gotten hot to bring averages up to his career averages. The 15 goals in 43 games is him playing badly too. And he plays a 200 foot game and is feisty; he’ll throw a hit or two.
And he’s only signed till after next season. If the Pens really want to trade him, they should at the deadline. And retain 1.5-2M and trade at 3.5M-4M per. Then the Pens will only retain money left after the deadline for this season and next season.
That’s when he hold his most value in my opinion. He just needs to stay healthy.
