Description

Getzlaf is a veteran who still has great playing ability. He can be a good 3C on any team. Why I think he’d be a great fit for the leafs is because hea playoff performer, been on many great teams that have gone far in the playoffs, has won a cup, and he’s a captain too. A problem I think the leafs have with getting veterans is that none of them have won cups (at least on offence). The defence was good in the playoffs, not really the problem. They had Muzzin and bogo to help with their cup experience and play. The offence, not so much. Jumbo and spezza are great leaders, but none of them have won cups. It really does matter. Also, even if kampf is good or not, there is nothing wrong with making our centre depth stronger. Another cool thing is that the leafs now have 3 former ducks that have all played together. That will make for some great chemistry and it could be a pretty good line. It would be crucial for the playoffs. Let me know what you guys think about the fit and if my value is right.

Are you serious? 5 goals & 17 points in 48 games does not get you that. His roughly 52% in the circle might raise the value a bit but he would not get that big of a return at this point in his career. If it’s near the trade deadline he would get maybe a bit more than Eric staal did last year

You are in for some fun if you get annoyed by a few days of Subban ACGM's.

There has literally been years of Parayko, Pesce, Manson, Severson, etc. etc. etc. ACGM's.

Or wait for a Nylander 3 game slump, the majority Leafs ACGM's will be titled trade Nylander.

If the Ducks are "out of it" come playoff time, I imagine Getzalf will ask and be granted a trade request to a select number of teams. The return won't be that much as Ducks fans hope as the Ducks organization will grant their long time captain his last chance at at Cup.

Sometimes they’re interesting when the player makes sense but when people get excited about a player just based on who they were in the past it gets annoying.

Although I will say, being a Leafs fan is never boring because the fan base gets excited so easily

Leafs had a big need at RD for several years, so the ACGM's just never stopped. They've only now slowed down a bit with Brodie having a strong season.
