And how do you determine that? Outside of the Komarov contract all of his signings in NYI have been quite good. Hickey's didn't age well but at the time of the signing it was 2.5M for 28 year old 20-30 point 2nd pair guy.

pulock was extended to that year bc of the cap crunch the islanders have been in the past two seasons. i’m sure they plan on keeping pulock, but a lot of their bad contracts come off the books next year and pulock is the only significant ufa that needs to re-sign (and dobson is the only significant rfa), so there’s plenty of money to give him the necessary raise. same with beauvillier after that. considering the situation the team was in, it’s kinda smart tbh
