That's an easy no from buffalo. I honestly laughed out loud that you thought we had to add mittelstadt and a pick

Yikes Buffalo says no. Brännström, Thomson, and Gustavsson all have no value to Buffalo, dont know why this point has to be constantly brought up. White is a bust

Wait what?

You seriously think you're going to get a Norris caliber player for Eichel? But on top of that, Brannstrom, Gustavsson, a 1st, a 2nd and more prospects/picks?

This site is silly

Ok so you know about the Sabres but nothing outside of that? I guess I should have figured it out...

Can you explain your definition of bust?

Also, it's not because a team acquire several guys in a trade that they will play all their career with that team.. Some players will just be assets that will be used again in other trades. A team like Buffalo should try to acquire guys like Brannstrom and Logan Brown (not neessarily them), give them a lot icetime and opportunities, try to get their values up and then get a better return. A great asset management can be a really good thing. That's how I can afford to take it easy in my early 40's. It's not that important if you don't think they need this or that guy long term. The NHL is a business and players are assets.

I already explained it to you: Hes 24, turning 25 in January and averages 33 pts a year (all on pace for numbers, he averages 22 pts a year raw numbers), for nearly 5 mill cap hit. He probably will play in the NHL for a while, im being dramatic calling him a bust, but hes not someone the Sabres have their eyes on, especially in an Eichel trade.

So Buffalo should waste Eichel, so Ottawa can get him for pennies on the dollar, and then leave the onus on Buffalo to move lesser assets for the assets they really need. Seems like that only benefits Ottawa

Ok but when I wrote this you had not posted in the other thread yet, so how could you had explained it to me? lol

And that answer is not for my question. I was asking you a different one this time. What is your definition of bust?

By the way, former 21st OA pick in 2015 Colin White is 24 y/o and has 88 pts in 200 NHL games while being solid defensively.

Also, I'm not trying to convince you to make this deal. I am not Ottawa's GM and AFAIK, you're not Buffalo's. I am just trying to tell you that you should be more "open minded" about the assets coming back

How many teams can fit a 10 M$ player for the next 5 years? Then remove the teams rebuilding or in a need of a rebuild soon. Also remove the teams you already have great/elite Centers? (ex : Toronto and Edmonton won't target Eichel)

How many of the teams left have the assets to make that kind of trade?

Buffalo will/should have a long-term approach and care about the assets instead of trying to fill all the needs at the same time as soon as possible
