I like the enthusiasm, but it would take a lot more to pry Eichel, let alone adding Mittelstadt. Buffalo is looking for an NHL ready C, High end prospect, high risk high reward prospect, and at least 1 1st round pick. You'd be looking at White, Boucher, Brannstrom, 2022 1st, 2022 2nd, 2023 1st. That would be what Buffalo expects. Not that they'd necessarily get that. Mittelstadt would take more on top of that, and he wouldn't be cheap, most likely an NHL ready forward, a prospect and at least a 2nd. They may look for more.

they could ask for that but they not gonna get it from any team or he would have been traded by now, sabers fans going to have to come down, by alot, on their expected return for Eichel.

Ottawa is looking for someone to fill the 2C role to insulate Pinto, and they are looking for a Top 6 Winger to play with Stutzle and whomever plays at 2C.

Buffalo hasn't stated publicly exactly what they are looking for. You'd have to assume they want a C to replace Eichel, and they would have top be at least Top 6 level.

Oh ok. I'll have to disagree there. They're doing another rebuild, so I don't think they'd need a significant center to replace Eichel. I imagine they'll want heavy futures. This will give Cozens a chance to grow into his role.

That said, I think the deal is fair if one of those 2nds becomes a 1st.
