Won't work at all. If you watch the Leafs at all you know that JT can't carry a line by himself at this point. He needs someone like Marner or Nylander next to him. Would be more likely to stack a line with JT rather than Matthews if that were ever to happen, which it never will unless it's after a PK or last shift of the game.

Not remotely correct. Marner is a playmaker, Matthews a shooter and in this case Nylander would weave around finding soft spots which would make it so hard to defend.

All offense player who are lazy to get the puck back. Yes they can play defense but none have grit, or good forchecking ability. If you watched any combination of the 3 play together, you would see that they were often chasing the puck and wasting shifts

the line isent physical enough to bring presence to the game. sure there is skill, but what made the line successful in the past was zach hyman literally trying to get that puck like he was a dog. No one would do that now. God forbid nylander touches another soul.

Matthews and Marner are Superstars. Tavares is in the next group of nhl stars and Nylander is a very good winger. That's how l would rate them

Really depends on your definition of superstar. IMO, Mathews is, but Marner is in the next tier. Unless you have a very liberal definition of the term, there aren’t four

I never said there was four. I said Matthews and Marner are. We all know Matthews won the rocket award, so let's talk about Marner. 2nd best 2 way winger in the league (Marchand), 4th in league scoring. on the #1 unit in evert situation. If he played the last game of the regular season he would have lead the league 2 years in a row in ice time for forwards. People say he he hasn't produced in the playoffs. Last 19 playoff games including the bubble 4 goals 13 assists. In my eyes that's a superstar and he's only going to get better.

Hyman isn't a huge loss. He was a good player when he was paid 2.8 million but paying him more than 3.5 is a mistake. At some point they are going to find a combination that really maximizes Matthews and that player would have forced Hyman down to the 3rd and then he's a 20-30 point very good defensive forward. He just doesn't have the finish to really see Matthews take new heights. So in conclusion this team is still really good, with potential to be much better. Even if only one of Ritchie, Bunting or Kase meets or exceeds expectations this this team could be a force.

But to me, only a handful of superstars: McDavid, Draisaitl, Mathews, Kane, Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin, Kucherov and a few more. If Marner was in contention for the Hart or Conn Smythe, then I would change my opinion
