Tanner Pearson is 29 years old making $3,250,000 for another 3 years. It's going to cost more then a 6th round pick to move him and we sure as hell aren't giving up a 4th for him. If you happen to look Detroit is getting far more younger not older. Detroit easily passes.

For a minute I thought it was Chase Pearson and just flipped the teams in my head lol. Knowing it's Tanner and he's coming our way, I don't think this trade makes sense for Detroit.

This we can agree with, Yzerman is adding younger players long term not aging players like Pearson.

If the team did not bring in David Savard in free agency, I'd be more tempted to entertain the idea, but it makes little sense to commit $9.5M long-term for two lower-end 2RHD.
