The Sharks should be rebuilding. If they trade Hertl, it probably means they're doing just that. So why the main piece coming back would be a player that is just a few months younger? When teams rebuild, they normally trade for futures (picks and prospects). And even then, is the difference between Hertl and Anderson just Ylonen and a 2nd? Sharks fans might not think that

For Tkachuk, Kotkaniemi and a 1st is a good start but I doubt the Sens would be interested in doing something like this. First, they'd have to be really high on KK because they're quite high on Tkachuk, to say the least.

No interest in Poehling. They have Norris, Pinto, White, Paul, Tierney and several interesting C prospects (personally pretty high on Greig and Daoust) Greig, Ostapchuk, Daoust, Kastelic, Kelly, Lodin... and maybe even Stutzle if he transitions to Center. There's a guy named Logan Brown (with much better PPGs in both AHL and NHL) that might never get another crack at the Sens roster so he might just get traded in a near future. The only way I see Ottawa trading for Poehling is if they could flip Tierney somewhere else so they could save significant salary on the 4th line center job. And anyway, if it's 3 pieces for Tkachuk, that 3rd piece will have to be significantly better on top of KK + 1st.

And of course OTT would love Suzuki+something for Tkachuk

Ottawa wouldn't trade Tkachuk for Suzuki. Great player, but it's nearly impossible to replace what Tkachuk brings.
