As a habs fan I wouldnt even mind the os just to add some interest to a dead time of the year. But Montreal laughs at this, and as a budget team i cant see the sens taking a financial risk like this against a much wealthier team with rfas of their own. Both weber and byron are ir bound so the habs have cap space to match if needed.. and of course its only a problem IF KK signs the offer sheet which people forget.

They won't be able to afford to offer sheet any of these players unless they don't want to keep Suzuki, Caufield, KK and/or Romanov

The Canes offersheet makes more sense than the Ottawa, theres alot more incentive for KK to go to Carolina like their core being mainly Finnish. The Habs laugh at Ottawa because they have their own more valuable Rfas and are a divisional rival so easy match, the Canes arent in the same situation. The Habs are likely seeing what they can get with the extra picks and if nothing great.. match. Overall not much risk here and just like I wanted more entertainment.
