I do think there would be a teams that would trade for Myers, and I don't think the retention/assets being shipped would be as high as many on this site think. RD are hard to find and there are plenty of GM's that like big bodies that can produce some level of offence.
Is he worth 6 million? No. Is he tradable? Yes.

Just better ways to spend 6m.

I thought the Canucks did a better job this year in free agency, mostly because they didn't have much cap, or maybe they ownership prevented Benning from talking to player agents.
Getting rid of Schmidt's contract was nice...but signing Poolman to four years was iffy. It was great getting rid of those poor short term contracts but I question if OEL at 7.25m X 5 is going to good value.

The Sedins probably stopped him from doing anything stupid but then there was Ekman Larson who’s their bud so they let it pass.
