Like I said, I agree it doesn't make sense for Carolina, so I was just speaking in general value and also that depends on what a specific team needs. That said, if offense from the back-end is what you need then yeah, Dumo won't put up those points, but he will make any team much harder to play against than Tony ,and while he may not put up points, he helps create offense in creating a strong transition game.

I know what Dumo does, he was a Canes prospect after all. He's still not got more value than Deangelo. Offensive defenseman are rarer than defensive defenseman.
