Doubt blues make a deal, especially with that much retention for a return like that. Not saying other teams are ponying up big offers with his health being a huge risk.

Most likely situation is he comes back and plays for them and gets dealt at TDL for a bigger return assuming he’s healthy and effective. Otherwise if he gets hurt again they’ll stash on LTIR.

I know all the leafs fans want a huge haul for Rielly, but this trade is more realistic for what the Blackhawks would want…. IF they wanted to rent Rielly for a year.

I want to emphasize that I am unsure if Chicago would accept this, they seem pretty happy with their team right now and probably want to see how they do before trading away even more futures.

Blues don't do that deal. If effect you have made Kerfoot a 7m player with retention. Now I like Kerfoot, but an somewhat healthy Taresnsko is better than Kerfoot.
IMO the Hawks need a healthy Strome returning to his previous Hawk form more than one year of Reilly.

That offer doesn't get you Tarasenko by himself, let alone with 7M retention and Bortz.

Hawks wouldn't touch this for a one year rental of Reilly. Strome = Reilly plus a 3rd pick...maybe straight up, but no way would the Hawks add a 2nd and 3rd for a 1 year rental...that is the price if the Hawks had an extension worked out with reilly before the trade.

They left him exposed in the Seattle Expansion draft and could have lost him for nothing. At least they're getting some sort of return for him this way.
