While not filling Gio's shoes, OEL plugs a top 4 left side gaping hole left by his departure.

Monahan for Dvorak reunites Dvorak and Tkachuk; Reinharts acts as the Marner from that dominant OHL line years ago.

Flames get the Sam they actually wanted in the 2014 draft, but give up a lot of futures to make it happen.

For the record: I would never personally trade for OEL and that contract. But I could totally see Tre doing this while trading Monahan and spending to get Reinhart to shake up this core.
