Why the Avs make this trade: To clear cap space in order to resign Landeskog.

This is what I think the Avs could do:

Make this trade and select Sebastian Cossa (I know in most mocks, Cossa doesn't fall past Edmonton but in mine he does).
Sign Landeskog, let Grubauer go to free agency and start next season with Francouz, Johansson, and Dubnyk as the three goalies (don't know whether Francouz is still injured or not).
In a few seasons, have Cossa and Francouz as a tandem.

Let me know if this makes sense. Agree or disagree?

Wild decline. Saad is a UFA, he is not worth trading six spots down. Minnesota probably isn't interested in Saad anyway, but it would be more realistic if you targeted our pick at 25 overall.

I think the Avs should re-sign Grubauer. It doesn't make sense to let him walk.

I don't see why the Wild would help the Aves clear cap space. Saad isn't worth helping the Aves get out of a bind.
