Ya that's the only dicey part but I don't see BUF wanting Bear. If they want a LHD prospect they could go Broberg.

Also, if the Sabres take on Ghost, they won't need to retain on Risto, and I would expect a pick or two going with Ghost...

Not nearly enough for Reinhart, taking Neal is worth a second alone and the two players aren't enough for Reinhart

Sabres pass, also: "Buffalo has nobody worth taking." at least one of Borgen, McCabe, Ristolainen, Girgensons, Thompson or Asplund will be exposed and theyre infinitely better than Sheahan

Yes, I know but he isn't a high end RHD or have high end potential.

I see this as a not great deal for Edmonton. Reinhart is definitely worth a lot and would be an asset especially with the Neal cap dump. Issue is we fill our hole on 1LW but open up 2 roster holes from guys with cheap contracts that we need to now replace.

Bouchard is a high end RHD prospect, that is worth quite a bit! Plus getting a replacement top 6 winger...ya you are just being a homer and thinking your guy is worth more than he is.

How is losing Bouchard opening up a hole? he barely played this year. The only hole is a 4th line winger to replace Neal

      A. that still leaves Borgen who was one of the most valuable names and who they should protect over 1 year of Risto.
      B. Thats still leaves Girgensons who is a pretty decent forward as well. Certainly better than Sheahan

Yamamto away from Draisaital is a 30 point winger a high end RHD prospect is good and all but not enough for an established top line forward who can play wing and center

Borgen the 24 year old who has barely seen NHL ice, that Borgen? And a high end RHD prospect is the last thing you need? Seems like you don't even know your own team!

Saying Yamamoto is a 30 pt player away from Drai is a stretch.

Yeah you dont even know who Borgen is, but Im the one that doesnt know what he's talking about... Between Dahlin, Jokiharju, Power, Borgen, Bryson, Samuelsson, Johnson, Kuokkanen, Laaksonen, and Fitzgerald, the last thing they need is another under 24 D prospect

Dude...you have 0 rhd that project as a top pairing guy. If you think otherwise, you are just being a homer.

With Power they can move Dahlin to the right side where he played in Sweden, or they can sign somebody so they dont have 6 kids on defense. The team has 0 forwards, and they're moving their 2 best forwards on top of that, they arent going to move them for a RHD prospect, its the least of their worries

In the above scenario, you definitely don't have 0 forwards tears of joy Plus with the above team you are likely lotto contenders again where you can have a shot at Shane Wright and you have more 1sts to go after forwards. The Sabres are like 5 years from competing so getting young quality assets makes a lot of sense.

Now add in their age differential (>Yamamoto) and cap hit (>Yamamoto). Plus the inclusion of Edmonton's #1 prospect... Ken Holland would have to be very drunk to take that deal.

Wild pass on this deal. 1) for cap reasons alone, wild won't do this

Tanking for a franchise center has really worked out for this franchise, with one of those firsts they can go after a RHD prospect in a D heavy draft
