All 3 teams decline fairly easily here.

    1. Eichel's injury is a huge concern, plus I'm not even sure if when he's fully healthy he gets that package. Minnesota don't have very many good young goalies in the system, I don't see them giving up on Kähkönen after spending years of development on him and he looked incredible in his first full season. And you don't trade a guy like Fiala for Eichel, you bring in Eichel to play with Fiala to make your team better - just doesn't make any sense for Minnesota there.

    2. Ristolainen isn't worth a 2nd straight up. If it's 50% retained on his salary for the year, you might get a bite. But don't see him fetching much more than a 3rd and a prospect who needs a change of scenery.

    3. I don't see Vegas targeting Reinhart for their centre issues since he's played wing more than he has centre. They need a top line centre and someone who's proved it consistently, that's just not Reinhart. Also I highly doubt Reinhart ever gets a return of a player like Tuch plus a 1st round pick at all.

It's Fiala, Rossi and Dumba, added with a goalie in risk of getting picked from MIN, at least according to Russo, and a stepdown of few picks in the draft (from 25th to 32nd).

I've accidentally pressed the Wild pick, but it should be the Pens one.

    1) According to Wild insider Wild considers leaving Kähkönen unprotected, so using him in a trade is beneficial for them should they go with Talbot for now. Eichel, while injury risk, is still a top10 player on his position and will get a huge package. I don't see Fiala+Dumba+Rossi as unrealistic pieces to target a player like Eichel, who is someone Wild should clearly be after. Wild doesn't have cap to bring Eichel in and keep Fiala at the moment.

    2) We disagree quite a lot on Risto's value so there's no point having that discussion. Personally I see him a good 2nd pair RHD, and gaining one of those for a price of 2nd round pick seems more than fair to me.

    3) I agree to an extent - if Reinhart is considered a winger this makes no sense for Vegas. If he is considered a center, then it makes quite a lot of sense. BUF would probably have to add a pick there but other than that I think Reinhart+pick for Tuch+1st is a solid base on build on. But once again only if Reinhart can be considered a center. I know he can play the position, but the question is how well.

Yeah, Fiala and Rossi is too much, adding Dumba just makes it silly.

You severely undervalue Eichel or overvalue Wild assets if you ask me.

Or you're overvaluing Eichel and undervaluing Fiala and Rossi. Who knows, could be either.

Take out Kaapo. In fact if fiala is added, wild will not be adding a whole lot more

I see Eichel as a top10 C in the league, capable of producing 90-100 points a year with a proper team. Close to a franchise level player.

I see Fiala as a top6 winger, capable of producing 60 points a year, maybe 70 should he find that chemistry and line to produce on. Solid asset.

Rossi is a bit of a wild card as he hasn't played for a while now, but I believe his potential to be maybe a step up what Fiala is capable, but that's relative to how Wild develops the guy.

How has Eichel's value plummeted so hard that we've gone from the likes of Lafreniere+assets+picks to "you want Fiala, you're not getting much more" in a matter of months?

Fiala has produced at a 68 point pace the last two seasons playing predominantly with Koivu, Hartman, Rask, Johansson. Bottom six players. What are you basing him being a 60 point player, 70 point maybe, on?

To the fact he's been producing on that rate for two years now?

Yes, I'm a bit pessimistic, but if Fiala's much better than that, Wild would be giving him more ice time and better linemates. If they have none to offer, that's something he can't do lot about.

Wild don't have those at this time, but that doesn't mean we should trade him. We can wait for Boldy and Rossi to fill out the top six, and then he will have those better linemates.

He's been playing at the top of the lineup in the top six and #1 PP, wwe just don't have the quality of players to play him with at even strength.
