Fair enough, for me it’s a very easy yes.

If this hypothetical trade was made LA would be gutted for the foreseeable future, so all of the original LA draft picks would likely be high selections, and the next two drafts are supposed to be stacked with not only depth but have multiple franchise players. On top of that, LA has one of if not the best prospect pool in the NHL and the majority of those top prospects are included here. Add to that some solid players who are in their 20’s and to me it’s an absolute no brainer. Doughty is a big contract and that contracts value will decrease until it expires, but he is still a solid D and im sure if EDM really wanted to rid the contract they could easily package it and move it elsewhere.

Just my 2 cents.
