WOW is this bad for the Hawks

BIG overpay from us. You could almost get Werenski too with that trade.

It is too messy. Jackets would want more quality than quantity. This doesn’t work for either team.

Not to be a jerk, but you’d be foolish not take that package. That’s a 20 year old high upside D, a top 6 winger making less than 4 million a year who will be an RFA, the 11th overall pick, another 20 year old 1st round prospect, and a smattering of good to solid pieces. If Columbus can get that for two pending UFAs, they should take it and run.

Personally, I wouldn’t trade Boqvist, Kubalik, or 11th for either of those guys, let alone all three and adding Beaudin, Stillman, and a 2nd.

Problem is Kubalik could end up just like Panarin and leave town in 2 yrs. The rest of the players outside of Boqvist and Kubalik are just clutter. If the Jackets are seriously rebuilding it makes sense to only take back high picks and players with at least more than 3yrs of team control.
