Parise is barely an NHL player lol - he's more of a 13 F forward at this point in his career.

As much as I would love it for Parise to move to the Isles, I just can’t see it. I would do the above as a Wild fan but it’s just not feasible right now.

I think that’s a stretch. Parise should have at least been playing PP2 and he was still on a 40 point pace, his term is just too much.

that's fair, but he's going to continue to decline and he'll be nothing more than a 4th liner. His skating has also gotten much worse, the guy couldn't even keep up with Barzal.

All very accurate points. But I will say that I don’t think performance was the primary reason Parise was on the bench. Even as a 4th liner, he will contribute to the score sheet and he would be the next front guy for Barzal. He doesn’t need to skate with him, he just needs to be there when the cycle starts since defenders need to respect his presence there.

Lee is already the net front guy and Barzal needs someone who excels in transition. I've had enough of Barzal playing with 4th liners (komarov). To be honest im just sick of seeing these Parise trades lol.

Totally fair. Parise has definitely lost a step but I think there is still something left, even if it’s not too 6 anymore, and if there is a team to maximize his potential it’s definitely the Isles. Maybe we can use a middle man to eat half his cap hit since there is very little actual money left on his deal after this year (eyes the yotes).

It would maximize his potential but it would hold back the isles. Parise isn't needed, the isles need to get younger and faster. They have enough players who play a similar style to parise.

Its too early for Wild to dump Parise.
They need another year or two to build back the net cap benefit, so they don't get dinged if he retires early on other team.
The new CBA is not as punitive on recapture penalties, but would still be a sizable figure.

Agreed. I would say Parise was a big part of Kevin fiala finding his game in playoffs, & wild taking it to 7 games
