Kreiders contract sucks

The thing with Kreider is the term. If it were a 3 year deal then it’d be fine, it’s the last 2 or so years of that deal that are going to be rough. As long as he keeps his speed he should be good.

The same goes for Trouba. I think he’s overpaid by 500k-1 mil but it’s going to be the last 2-3 years that bite us in the butt.

I think if Blackwell repeats his performance (or hits around 35+points) from last season, then we can get a Coleman-type return from a cap strapped team like Tampa Bay.

People say age is a factor to performance but what im starting to notice is its almost irrelevant at this point in modern hockey as some guys do just as well or even better despite being over 30.

Trouba for sure but who knows with Kreider. As long as he puts up 20 goals a season and Rangers are improving I dont see a problem.

The way I see it, we may all overvalue our players a bit or annoy one another on a forum, but at the end of the day we’re all hockey fans.

This can help explain the weird ACGM's we see on here from Ranger fans...... they're mis-valuing their own players.

Despite his speed, a lot of Kreider's goals come from around the crease. He's been one of the best at tip-ins/deflections in the NHL these past several years. As long as he can continue to be a big body in front of the net he'll hold value in the NHL. $6.5mil a year value probably not, but value nonetheless.

The hatred for Trouba is hilarious. Dude was very, very good last season and is exactly the Dman the Rangers need. There is a good chance he is a captain or assistant captain next season.

Oh I don’t hate him, in fact he’s one of my favorite players. He’s worth about 7-7.5 imo.
