I titled this ACGM Colorado is fine because they are. When was the last time a playoff favorite has so many prospects that could jump up next year or the next including a fourth overall pick in Bowen Byram. With that in mind, I tried not to make to many marginal changes but as what comes when you need to resign a lot of players, I needed to trade and let go of a few. The only trade I made was the Kadri deal. Nazem Kadri is a good player but he's unreliable in the playoffs and with Newhook pushing for a top six spot, it just makes sense to get rid of Kadri with a year left on his deal. Ottawa is a team that has been rumored to be in on veteran centreman and Kadri is from Ontario so it's unlikely that Ottawa is on his NTC. They also have two extra seconds over the next two years which could make up well for the ones they traded for Devon Toews as well as getting a slightly overpaid taxi squad player in Austin Watson who just adds some depth to Colorado's forwards. Also just to touch on the the expansion draft I think they're best off to protect 4 D (Makar, Toews, Girard and Erik Johnson because of his NTC) and four forwards (Mackinnon, Rantanen, Burakovsky and Donskoi). Then I assume that Seattle takes Graves over the Jost RFA rights. One of the benefits of having so many UFAs on offense is that it helps them keep more of their D corps because there's less to protect at forward.
