I think I mentioned this in your last thread, but after hearing what Russo said about Kaprizov I think not getting Eichel this offseason could be disastrous for us in the long run. Look at it this way: trade for Eichel and have two superstar players for the next several years or risk wasting Kaprizov and watching him walk in a few years. I'd take the former every single time.

Yeah to me, that seemed to be about as clear of a “get a 1C or Kaps gonna walk” as Russo could give us without breaking his journalistic ethics, integrity or whatever the right term is here. It always felt urgent before, but pretty much non-negotiable now if you want to keep him around.

But is he in the Tier that GMCF would trade for? I think he would.

I'm not saying that they wouldn't trade for him and I think with him being a fletcher pick it would make sense for him to try and acquire him but I don't think he would involve Konecny in a trade for him
