What is the reasoning of trading Mo? He's an amazing D man and wasn't the problem this past playoffs

Kings are good, if they are trading guys like Kempe it won't be for a one year rental.

Agreed. Sandin, who played some pretty sheltered icetime in the playoffs, caused a lot more issues than Mo. Don't get me wrong, I think Sandin has the potential to be a solid dman, but moving Mo, and bumping Sandin from 14 minute to 20ish a game seems like a bad, bad choice.

Rielly is being traded because they have no cap to resign him. They can’t let another player walk for nothing. Make a 2023 Leafs team with Hyman’s new contract, Rielly’s new deal, and resign Campbell. 😂 have fun
You think the bottom 6 was bad this year just wait

So, because he'll likely lose him as a FA, you punt the D-Core in a year where your championship window is still open? He's a free rental. Just make more efficient signings for the bottom 6. Dubas is supposed to be an analytics genious...let's see it.

They cannot lose another FA for nothing. I’m not saying this is the right trade but absolutely he needs to be moved. They cannot resign him unless a big contract is moved out

Dude, he’s a free rental. You move him, and by November you’ll be saying “JEEEZ, we need a LD!”, and then Dubas will go and overpay for one at the deadline. Contending teams don’t trade their best dmen away unless they’re a bunch of cowards.

For the love of Zeus, THEY CANNOT RESIGN HIM!
You would be a terrible GM if you just let Rielly walked, treat him like a rental 🤦‍♂️

I get your opinion, I really do, but you're trading away your best dman, and the return isn't going to do ef all to help the team in the near future. Look how much the D suffered when Muzzin went down. What happens next year when something similar happens again? You'll be running out a D-core with some AHL scrub by the end of it, and then will say "If only we had a #1 Dman...". Again, I get your thought process, but unless you're looking to start waiving a white flag on next year, you'd be absolutely foolish to move him.
