According to SPAR, Strome has been worth an average of 7.1 mil in terms of on-ice value over the last 2 seasons. During that time, Monahan was worth -400k. That's...negative 400k. He was below replacement level this season.

Strome has a value worthy of 1st++ and Monahan doesn't have much value at all given his cap hit.
