Wrong pick slick Detroit's 2021 1st round Capitals pick is either #23 or #24 depending on if Tampa or Carolina wins not the Tampa pick. Faska+14th pick for Seth Jones most teams can easily beat that offer.

If Tampa loses to Carolina, Tampa's pick is 23 and Washington's is 24 because Tampa had fewer points during the regular season, slick. If Tampa wins, Washington's pick is 23 and Toronto's pick is 24. Columbus owns both of those other picks, so Washington would have either the 23 or 24 and Columbus would get the other.

It’s gonna be interesting. Seth Jones could work this season, but if I’m Dallas I have a hard time parting with a ton, simply because it’s going to be impossible to re-sign both Jones & Klingberg next offseason.

I’m not sure how I feel about giving up a hefty price for a guy that’s either going to be a rental, force Klingberg out the door, or (worst case scenario) both.

They could be, allows them to move Heiskanen back to the left side. IMO Philly will be frontrunners though

If COVID wasn’t a thing & there was still a steady cap increase every year then it would be a possibility, but I’m just not sure that they take on that kind of cap with the contracts that are expiring soon.

To answer your question though, yes...very interested in Jones, but there are too many financial hoops to bring that interest to fruition.

Personally I'd like to have Jones, but I don't really think we need the guy if we re-sign Klingberg. Jones is going to cost too much for us.

If it was guaranteed that we'd resign both Klinger and Jones, I'd give up Lindell. Because you still have miro and harley. Solid top 4. But that's the issue. No guarantee.

Oh I’d give up Lindell in a heartbeat. I still don’t think that bridges the gap between the potential $24M AAV Jones, Klingberg, and Heiskanen could command, especially with Benn & Seguin still on the books

I think the problem here is Dallas has a really good top 4... While Jones is better than Oleksiak, it's not worth the risk of losing Klingberg because of the cap.
