Marincin's never scored 2 goals in a season, let alone 3 in a game lol.

The kid is 21, he needs to learn from his mistakes and come back to show he has. Relax. Hilarious all all this site could talk about before was how Sandin was so good in all zones and that Leafs should be trading Rielly this off-season because Sandin was taking his place anyways. Now this site rips on Sandin after 1 series, and the first goal you can't blame him much for when the refs missed a blatant high hit from Perry on Sandin (refs were horrendous for both sides the whole game).

Also, putting Marincin in over Sandin, Dermott, Hutton, or Liljegren is just hilariously dumb.

Dermott is miles, miles better than Marincin. There's a reason why Dermott hasn't played an AHL game in almost 4 years and why Marincin has only played AHL this season. Dermott's also been a lot better this season playing with Bogosian. Seems like Bogosian calms Dermott's erratic play down to a simple game and he's been good. He was real solid and quiet in his lone playoff game so far this year. I'd take that over Marincinif Dermott was 45 years old.

Doesn't matter if Liljegren is left handed or not. You can move the pairs around. Brodie back to the left and the you can have Liljegren on the right. Or okay Liljegren on the left. Leafs don't care. They just want to play the best players on the ice.

I don't know if scratching is required. But I am quite happy that this game was a wake up for rabid leaf "fans" who are trying to dump Rielly all the time and replace him with Sandin next season. The kid has potential, but let's stop planning the parade around him. I constantly see fans on here that have some fascination that every player on another team or in the farm is better than what is currently being played. It is the same as those projecting Robertson to be the next 40 goal scorer. Maybe he has the potential. But at this point I sure hope Brooks get's good playing time in 2021-2022 over Robertson.

Well personally I think this narrative that Leaf fans want to just dump Rielly cause they think he is better is stupid. The reason Leaf fans have Rielly being traded is in a flat cap world the possibility of resigning Hyman next year and now with Campbell playing lights out, resigning Rielly becomes almost impossible. So whether it happens in the offseason or at the TDL next year keeping him in the fold just doesn’t make sense. And with all the praise Rielly gets for his offence, Muzzin leads all Leaf defenceman in 5v5 scoring in the last two years. If the Leafs roll out something like:
Muzzin Holl
Sandin Brodie
Dermott(unless Seattle takes him)/Place Holder Bogosian

Leafs will be fine
