While I think Eichel would certainly bolster the struggling Canadiens I don't think Buffalo picks up the phone unless 2 of Suzuki, Caulfield, and Romanov are on the table. At which point I don't think it's in the habs best interest.

This trade above with Zuki instead of Kotkaniemi might get the sabres to bite... But I'd say they still want more.

I'm thinking at least 2 of Montreal's best up and coming of Suzuki, Caufiled, or Romanov as well as some picks. Throw Drouin in there for cap dump if required.

i think you remove drouin, add Ghule Ylonnen and a 2nd and maybe that gets buffalo interested enough to continue the conversation. I do beleive Rangers have to be in on the Eichel sweepstakes and they have the ability to blow them away with an offer that the habs probably cant even match.

Kings have plenty of speedy bottom-six forwards who can't score, Byron is a cap dump at his current production rate, if you want to move him the Canadiens will be paying for it.
