I think Reinhart for Tkachuk is a pretty fair 1-for-1, though I'm sure Flames fans would disagree. The remainder of the deal (Valimaki for a 3rd) is a clear mismatch.

Which one? CHI- he's worth far more. Tor - about the same (depending on Reinhart's next contract). None of these players is worth either of the Tkachuk bros.

I'd like to rephrase my earlier statement (was going to edit my comment after posting it because I didn't word it correctly, but it was late and I didn't feel like it). It's not an outrageous 1-for-1, at least from an objective value point of view. Do I think the Flames win that deal? No. Do I think they'd trade the face of their franchise for less than heaven and earth? Absolutely not. But from a pure on-ice value standpoint, it could definitely be worse.
