We can never be sure a player will become what they are had they stayed. Verhaghe, Jones, Forsberg, Burns, Petry, Dubnyk, those players may have never became what they are if they stayed on their original teams. (Those are just a few examples I thought of)

could have, should have, would have....every team has a journey man that is given away or sometimes a stud. hindsight is 20/20. move on and look at the team you got rather than what could have been.

I really did not see much, we tried him out in 4 games and he really did not impress Keefe nor Dubas which was why they moved him. If he impressed and scored 4 goals or played like he did in florida he would still have been here.

On the Panthers first line? He's been playing on the 4th line and hasn't seen much success. He's still the same borderline NHLer he was with the Leafs.

I wonder where the many Florida forwards with more time on ice are playing then. No wonder Tampa is beating them when guys like Barkov, Huberdeau and the others are playing in some other game.

You probably got mixed up because in game 2 of their series, they only iced 11 forwards so everyone was playing flex minutes to fill out the missing spot. Marchment flexed a bit more than others but his closest comparables were still Owen Tippett and Noel Acciari, thats a long ways away from the 1st line. Still If we want to see Marchment's true position on the team we should look at game 1 when they had a full line up.



Oof. I've had people make some dumb claims on here but trying to say that Marchment is on Florida's top line is among the worst. This isn't the hill you want to die on.
