The value is not there for Detroit. Nolan has serious injury concerns and Ghost was waived. I'd have no problem with Detroit taking a chance on both, but you're not getting anything decent back. Someone like Taro Hirose and a 4th maybe would be more in line with value.

Ghost couldn't even fetch a 4th in negotiations for the last several years, let alone a 2nd. Reporters said flyers couldn't get decent value for the last two years trying to trade Patrick...maybe they wanted a 1st but it sounded like they couldn't even get a 2nd. Minnesota has to sign Kaprizov among others, doubt they'd want to take on JVR's cap.

Wild have no need for/ no room for wingers. Wild aren't taking on a trash contract like jvr when they have 21 million to sign Joel Eriksson Ek, kaprizov, & fiala, nico sturm, kaapo kahkonen with also trying to build their team , add depth, & sign guys to ahl team


Wild already have two of the best top winger prospects in the NHL with Matt Boldy, & Adam Beckham who they need to find room for

Philly is going to have to pay another team a 1st round pick to take him on, & it won't be wild

Not too bad for being new. Detroit I could see making a deal similar to this but it wouldn’t involve anything significant more like a late round pick as Ghostbear is a cap dump.

As a Preds fan, I'm open to trading Ellis this summer, but not for the return in your proposal unfortunately. FWIW, I remember I talked with another Flyers fan on here recently, who proposed Frost, Myers, O'Brien & your 1st in 2021. I'd pull the trigger on that one.

I like that too believe me not sure what O'Brien turns into but yes I would pull trigger too saves y'all money as well!
