Zacha and Prospects for Laine

Description
Zacha and three late-round firsts for Laine. Zacha is pushed out of a top 6 center position by Nico and Jack but I believe will be a 60 point centermen who's good in the face-off circle. I think the trade is high risk with high reward potential for NJ; Lindy and company could be a perfect fit for Laine

For this to be acceptable to the Jackets requires that one have a lot more faith in Zacha's continued ability as a center than I have. Isn't his breakout occuring with him on the wing?

Zacha has broken out by being moved to the wing. That's where his future is in the NHL, so he is not pushed out of the top-6. Zacha-Hischier-Bratt is the likely 2nd line from here on out for NJ.

Zacha has scored more goals as winger this year than Laine

I could not possibly care less. A rehabbed Laine is much, much better than that, and consequentially we are not selling low on him this year - it would be even worse for the team. We're not in a hurry to sabotage our team to make way for yours no matter how much you beg and plead.

Now I think people way under value Laine but Werenski is easily more valuable than Laine. He the team in goals last season and he can play defense. Bjorkstrand led the team in goals with one more than Werenski.

    Yes...absolutely, Werenski > Laine
But Zacha, Foote, Mukhamadullin and a 1st should be enough for either.
That is four 1sts - the same price Buffalo is asking for Eichel.

No, that is not "four 1sts". NHL players and picks are not fungible assets like that. With four actual 1sts a team can pick what they need and who they have confidence in. With that package, they have to have confidence in New Jersey's scouting for most of the picks.

That matches 'equivalent of four firsts' as described as Sabres asking price.
It is not literally 4 firsts.
The 'actual 4 firsts' vs '4 firsts equivalent' debate has been litigated ad nauseam.
And I will leave that for others.

Cool. We offer the Toronto 1st, the Tampa Bay 1st, Gabriel Carlsson, and Liam Foudy for Nico Hischier. Four 1sts, right?

Wait, you want to debate the individual players involved? That's been litigated ad nauseam. Leave it for others.

    Not taking about Hischier.
The four firsts thing was the Eichel price
    Google it.

Now you are just making stuff up
"Zacha, Foote, Mukhamadullin and a 1st should be enough for [Laine or Werenski]"

If it's good enough for Eichel or Werenski, it should be good enough for Hischier. Eichel's a better player than Hischier, after all.
