Description

The GM today came out and said there is no cap issue to re-sign players. He said Cap Issues are media generated (what a shocker).
Agent JP Barry also confirmed yesterday things were moving along and it is more about the term. Barry represents Hughes Pettersson Eriksson and siblings Luke Hughes and Emil Pettersson. I am hearing quite a bit today Loui will take his bonus in July and not report to Utica.

Why are NHL teams' AHL affiliates often so fricken far away? I mean, going back and forth from Vancouver to New York? Yikes.

You say that like you wouldn't move to Utica for a few months for 3 million.
Especially if the AHL next year is going to be the same BS it is this year with a whole 40-38 games.

That's true but doesn't help the Vancouver cap. It seems them about 300,000 towards the cap.

I thought all teams were moved closer, guess not. Kings had this issue as well but they moved a lot of AHL teams to Cali for the west teams a couple years back.
