This makes no sense from a buffalo perspective. Why would they want an injured goalie for their starter? If they do trade Ullmark it would be for one Vehvilainen would need to comeback because they don’t have enough goalies, and they would want forward prospects and draft picks.

Its because ullmark is a pending ufa, and they were generous enough to add a late 2nd. Anderson obviously adds nothing here except cap relief, so minimally another forward prospect needs to be added. Trading ullmark is signing up for losing out, that costs more than a late 2nd.
